Commodities help to float Forth’s results

Strong growth in UK container and commodities imports helped the ports division of Forth Ports lift its underlying operating profits by 13 per cent last year.

Charles Hammond, chief executive of the UK’s last listed port operator, said growth in the year to December came from the company’s Scottish ports and Tilbury on the Thames.
