Lessons for CDS investors

If something looks too good to be true, it usually is. That is a lesson most of us learn the hard way (does anyone still believe that low-fat chocolate can be a health food?)

But it is also a valuable adage to remember now, when looking at the credit derivatives world – and, more specifically, the recent losses suffered by the mighty BlueMountain hedge fund from its bet on Cablecom derivatives.
