Fall in Danish house prices accelerates

Copenhagen house prices fell by 10.7 per cent year on year, according to the Association of Danish Mortgage Banks. Across the nation, house prices fell by an average of 3.9 per cent annually and by 2.1 per cent compared with the previous quarter.

House prices soared by almost a quarter in Denmark in 2006, fuelled by mortgage liberalisation, but stagnated last year as interest rates rose.
