Air France-KLM, Europe’s largest airline, on Tuesday reported a sharp drop in its first-quarter net profit due to high fuel costs but said growth in long-haul business travel helped raise passenger traffic.
The airline’s net profit fell to €168m from €415m for the three months to June 30th. Earnings per share dropped to €0.54 from €1.34 while group revenues rose nearly 6 per cent to €6.3bn.
