Preston revamp hurt by recession

A £700m ($1.14bn) revamp of Preston city centre is the latest big redevelopment to be hit by the recession, with Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster’s property group, pulling out of the project.

Lend Lease, the Australian group that is also involved, said it would continue to pursue the scheme with the local council.
