Emerging producers: Price rises and deposit hunts

With copper trading at record prices it is not surprising that geologists, mining company executives and assorted entrepreneurs are scouring the globe for new sources of the metal.

Chile remains the world’s largest producer and still holds the potential for new deposits but the mining sector is increasingly looking elsewhere for the next big find.
