Forty-five banks were hit in the latest wave of legal action from Enrico Bondi as Parmalat's administrator spread wider accusations of blame for the dairy company's collapse.
The banks, which were not explicitly named but include one US bank, nine other non-Italian banks and 35 domestic groups, have been subjected to revocation or clawback actions moves under Italian law that seek to unwind dealings they had with Parmalat in the year before its bankruptcy.
