Black never disclosed payments, court told

Governor James Thompson, the former chairman of Hollinger International’s audit committee, on Tuesday testified that Conrad Black and other former executives never disclosed key payments that lie at the heart of the fraud case against the former media baron.

Mr Thompson, who was the longest serving governor of Illinois, told Chicago’s federal court he was never alerted to at least two payments worth tens of millions of dollars.
