End BBC rule, says James Murdoch

James Murdoch on Friday night embraced his father’s 20-year campaign for a radical diminution of state regulation in the UK media market and an end to BBC domination.

The chief executive of News Corporation Europe and Asia used the same platform as Rupert Murdoch 20 years earlier to make an impassioned plea for a free market in broadcasting, leaving organisations such as his own free to make profits unhindered by “authoritarianism”.
