School standards falling, say employers

Employers believe that the quality of education and skills has declined under Labour, despite the billions of pounds of extra state funding put into the sector, a survey on Monday suggests.

The findings will fuel the political arguments over educational standards that are certain to reignite this week with the publication of A-level and curriculum test results.
