ADB chief explains currency unit plan

Haruhiko Kuroda, president of the Asian Development Bank, will seek today to clarify his plan for an Asian Currency Unit, which he insists has been widely misunderstood.

Critics see the plan as a possible precursor to a regional currency arrangement or even currency union.
