Commodities at month low after crude falls

Commodities prices fell to their lowest level in a month on Tuesday in spite of positive signs of rising global manufacturing activity.

The spot S&P GSCI, a commodities basket closely followed by investors, fell to 444.9 points, the lowest level since late July, weighed down by a sell-off in the oil market that pushed prices further below the $70-a-barrel mark.
