Venues hit by drugs industry's attack on hospitality

Luxury hotels, golf courses and health resorts are feeling the effects of tough ethical rules that crack down on pharmaceutical companies plying doctors with lavish dinners and days out.

Efforts by the drugs industry to reverse the perception that charm is deployed more than science to persuade doctors to prescribe their medicines has prompted reports of a drop in bookings in up-market venues.
