Håkan Samuelsson, chief executive of truckmaker MAN, announced his immediate resignation on Monday, in an unexpected move that shocked corporate Germany.
Mr Samuelsson resigned from his post at his own request, the German truck and engineering group said. The 58-year-old Swede, the only non-native German speaker at the helm of a large German industrial group, was a darling of investors and had transformed the 251-year-old-group since taking over in 2005.
