The chief architect of the sale of Lehman Brothers’ Asian business to Nomura is to quit the combined operation, a move expected to reignite concerns over its successful integration.

Jasjit “Jesse” Bhattal, chairman of Nomura’s regional investment banking unit outside Japan, has told colleagues and clients he intends to relinquish his post by the end of the year.
