Quartet meeting to discuss Blair role

A high-level meeting next week of the Middle East quartet is expected to discuss in detail Tony Blair’s exact role as the group’s representative, diplomats said on Friday.

The quartet brings together the US, Russia, the European Union and the United Nations in the search for peace in the Middle East. The meeting will discuss in more detail what role the former prime minister, who stepped down last month, will play.
