Biden's sphere of influence doubted

Joe Biden yesterday insisted he would have an influential role in the Obama administration even as Dick Cheney, the departing vice-president, expressed doubt over how much clout his successor would have.

The vice-president-elect said he would lead a task force that would make recommendations on how to strengthen the middle class and that he expected to be "in the room" for every big decision Barack Obama made as president.
