DQ Entertainment, the Aim-quoted Indian animation specialist, is planning its own television series based on Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book, and Lassie, the collie that shot to stardom in the 1950s.

They are part of its plans to move up the value chain by creating programmes rather than only providing a service to clients such as Walt Disney and Nickelodeon. The company has added 300 employees, taking the total to 3,200. It now claims to be the biggest animator in the world in terms of capacity and manpower.
