Zim’s fate uncertain amid restructuring delay

Fresh uncertainty surrounds the fate of Zim Israel, once one of the world’s fastest-growing container shipping lines, after its parent company was forced to postpone a meeting scheduled for Wednesday to approve a restructuring.

The Israel Corporation, which holds 99 per cent of Zim’s shares, said the meeting had been postponed until October 28 to allow the shipping line time to complete discussions on an agreed restructuring plan.
