Police attack on press raises fears over Beijing coverage

China yesterday suffered a potentially heavy public relations blow ahead of the Olympics when police were caught on camera manhand-ling Hong Kong journalists.

Video from Hong Kong -television stations showed Beijing police officers throwing one journalist to the ground and restraining him by the neck. Other officers pulled cameramen from ladders as they sought to record chaotic scenes surrounding Olympic ticket sales.
