By 9.25am every week day, Tri Sudarso has usually been at her trading desk for at least an hour, surrounded by the day’s newspapers, the odd research report downloaded from the internet and a large cup of sweet black coffee just to the right of her keyboard.
When the Indonesian stock market opens five minutes later she knows which stocks she wants to buy and has a rough idea of how long she intends to keep them, a time usually measured in hours.
