Groupe Bolloré, the French industrial conglomerate, is to accelerate its drive into anglophone Africa as its port management and logistics businesses face intensifying competition from Chinese and Middle East operators.

The company, which is majority owned and run by billionaire Vincent Bolloré, is one of France’s largest investors in Africa.
