The United Nations tribunal for the former Yugoslavia on Wednesday sentenced Dragomir Milosevic, a former Bosnian Serb general, to 33 years in prison for shelling and sniping at civilians in Sarajevo in the 1992-1995 war.
Gen Milosevic “held a tight chain of command . . . abused his position and . . . planned and ordered gross and systematic violations of international humanitarian law”, the court ruled.
