The latest magazine circulation figures reveal a nation that is tiring of celebrity and turning to quality publications, as it seeks to understand and adapt to the impending economic slowdown.

The UK magazine market grew 22.6 per cent in the six months to June 2008 over the same period last year, including new launches, according to the The Audit Bureau of Circulation. The biggest selling magazine in the UK remains TV Choice, a weekly title, with 1.4m sales per issue.
