H&M to expand in spite of poor sales

H&M, Europe’s second largest fashion retailer, reported weaker than expected December sales on Thursday but insisted that it would continue its global expansion programme.

The disappointing sales figures overshadowed strong fourth quarter earnings, pushing the retailer’s shares down 1.5 per cent to close at SKr316.50.
