Eros plans push on back of Bollywood boom

Eros International is deepening its expansion into Hindi-language music with plans for several overseas acquisitions as Bollywood seeks to capitalise on the popularity of Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire.

The London-listed producer and distributor of Bollywood and Indian regional language films, such as Kambakkht Ishq, and music is studying up to nine companies with libraries of up to about 9,000 songs, with plans for two to three buy-outs in India and the UK.
