Pakistan’s senior party in its ruling coalition on Wednesday night pledged to keep its alliance intact with its partner.

The vow comes in spite of the failure of the two-month-old coalition to overcome a political crisis triggered by a rift on restoring judges dismissed by Pervez Musharraf, the president.
