Kuwait will station ambassador in Iraq

Kuwait yesterday said it would name an ambassador to Iraq for the first time since the small Gulf state was invaded by its neighbour in 1990, joining other Arab states in showing a greater willingness to engage with Baghdad.

Kuwait's move follows similar decisions in recent weeks by the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain as some Gulf states seem more eager to engage with Iraq's Shia-led administration.
