Merrill plans senior shake-up

Merrill Lynch plans to introduce a flatter leadership structure for its markets and investment banking operations that will split responsibility between a group of senior executives.

The reshuffle, likely to be unveiled this week, follows the announcement last week that Dow Kim was leaving and that Greg Fleming, the other co-head of markets and investment banking, was being promoted to be co-president of the group.
