Indonesia chooses green actions not words

When some 40 chief executives from the Indonesian business circle got together last October, instead of talking about bottom lines and boardroom matters, they were trying to understand environmental sustainability.

“There was an enormous amount of enthusiasm at the meeting, as the executives were beginning to understand the concepts of sustainability”, says Neil Franklin, sustainability director at Asia-Pacific resources international (April), a pulp and paper company based in Indonesia.
