‘London loophole’ leaves US at odds with FSA

Bristling with irritation, Stuart Fraser, policy chief at the City of London Corporation, recently rounded on US lawmakers who he felt had unfairly criticised Britain’s financial markets watchdog.

“If a bunch of senators want to get rude about the FSA [Financial Services Authority] that’s fine, but don’t interfere in our market,” he said.
