Entrepreneurs criticise snub over tax consultations

The government has been accused of once again ignoring the opinions of small and medium-sized businesses after announcing that its new Treasury tax policy committee would only include the UK’s biggest companies.

Alistair Darling this week said he was inviting representatives of multinationals to sit on a new working group to advise ministers on the long-term challenges facing the UK tax system.
