Bond fund chief sells stamps to aid charity

Bill Gross, the bond fund manager who is also the world’s biggest stamp collector, will sell his British Empire stamp collection at auction and give the proceeds to charity, his third such sale in two years.

Mr Gross estimated the value of his huge stamp collection as “in the nine figures” – $100m or more – which makes it easily the largest private collection in the world.
