The launch of Cbeebies ends parental TV guilt

When the BBC launched its pre-school digital channel, CBeebies, in February 2002, it created a huge shift in the way that many parents use the television.

The days of selective TV viewing for children, of Watch with Mother and short bursts of children’s programming have been replaced with wholesome shows from six in the morning through to seven at night.
