Senior brushes off slowdown with 67% rise

Senior has brushed off fears about an impending slowdown in the aerospace industry, reporting a 67 per cent rise in pre-tax profits for the first half of the year.

The engineering group, which makes components used in aircraft and diesel engine production, said pre-tax profit to the end of June rose to £27.2m. Sales rose 18 per cent to £279.9m.
