Little benefit from UK postal reforms

Competition in the postal market has produced no significant benefits for consumers and small businesses, according to a report from an independent review set up by the government.

In its first report summarising more than 40 submissions from the industry, the review group said competition had benefited large mail users, but posed a “substantial threat” to Royal Mail’s financial stability.
