Resolution Life’s founder nets £145m

Clive Cowdery is to sell his 3 per cent stake in Resolution Life, netting him about £145m from the group he founded and that has accepted a near-£5bn offer from Hugh Osmond, his arch-rival.

Resolution said on Wednesday night that Mr Cowdery had sold 17.7m shares, representing about 2.5 per cent, at 707p each, raising about £125m.
