Hollywood joins royalty to seek $200m for microfinance

Hashemite and Hollywood royalty yesterday joined forces to launch a campaign to raise $200m to fund loans for the world's poorest entrepreneurs.

Queen Rania of Jordan and Natalie Portman, the Academy Award-nominated actress, said that by tripling the assets of Finca International, one of the pioneers of microfinance, the campaign would bring economic hope to a million families in the developing world.
