Profits at Ireland’s United Drug rise 15%

United Drug, Ireland’s leading drugs wholesaler, increased underlying first-half profits by 15 per cent in spite of government-imposed price cuts to off-patent drugs.

The results mark a further diversification away from United Drug’s low-margin wholesale business to the more profitable contract services activities.
