Glitnir courts international investors

Glitnir, the Icelandic bank, has held preliminary talks with potential investors about buying a stake in the lender, according to insiders.

Buyers could include a strategic foreign investor, hedge funds or private equity groups attracted by the bank’s depressed share price and the weak Icelandic currency.
