Silverstone plan gives hope for British GP

Formula One’s British grand prix is a step closer to being saved after the British Racing Drivers’ Club revealed initial plans for the redevelopment of its home – the much criticised Silverstone race track.

The BRDC is in negotiations with the management of Formula One about retaining the grand prix in Britain after threats that the inadequate facilities at Silverstone, in Northamptonshire, would force the race to move abroad.
