The new governor comes clean

David Paterson, who replaced Eliot Spitzer this week as New York’s governor, apparently believes in getting the bad news out there early.

Just hours after he was sworn in to replace Spitzer – who last week was forced to resign after revelations that he had paid thousands of dollars to prostitutes – he admitted that he had had an affair.
