Telenor, the largest Nordic telecoms group, on Wednesday signalled weakening growth in its key Asian markets, a day after Vodafone issued a warning about the slowdown in Europe.

In a forecast with its second-quarter results the Norwegian telecoms group blamed weakness in Asia and the appreciation of the Norwegian currency for forcing it to cut its revenue growth outlook this year from 5 per cent to 3 per cent.
