Corporate killing law tightens

A new corporate manslaughter law due to come into force next month will expose companies to more police investigations, higher fines and a wider range of possible offences, lawyers claim.

But critics of the long-awaited act - which gives the courts greater powers to shame companies - say it is too mild and lets individual managers off the hook.
