Sir, Now that Zimbabwe seems set for a presidential run-off, it is surely time for a “complete Southern African solution” to be presented for that country’s woes. The Southern African Development Community (SADC) has to pick up on discussion in South Africa about replacing the Zimbabwe dollar with the rand, even if institutions, and the media, hesitate to promulgate a plan having a bearing on currency markets.
