There was no party mood at the inaugural Thomson Reuters annual meeting in downtown Toronto. David Thomson had plenty to celebrate, having pulled off one of the biggest deals for his family's media empire, but the rumpled chairman didn't quite have the body language to convince investors as he said he was "very excited to be standing here". More bouncy by far was Tom Glocer , chief executive, who set a goal of making Thomson Reuters "one company in one year". Next year London will host.
