Dealmaker Dimon outdoes himself

Jamie Dimon’s reputation on Wall Street was built on his hard style of bargaining and his skill at cutting costs once he gets a deal done.

Dimon, the JPMorgan chief executive, seemed to cement his dealmaking reputation a week ago, when he got his hands on Bear Stearns at the fire-sale price of $2 a share. But the shine seems to be wearing off a bit now.
