Mental health concerns grow over Gitmo prisoners

Prisoners being held at Guantánamo Bay are experiencing deteriorating mental health because of their isolated confinement, a human rights group said on Tuesday.

In a new report, Human Rights Watch said 185 of the 270 detainees at Guantánamo were being housed in tougher conditions than the highest security “supermax” prisons in the US.
