Indonesian troops deliberately killed journalists

Indonesian troops deliberately killed five Australian-based journalists to stop them reporting on the 1975 invasion of East Timor, an Australian coroner ruled on Friday.

Following a six-week inquest into the deaths of the newsmen, Deputy Coroner for New South Wales Dorelle Pinch recommended the launching of a war crimes investigation into the incident.
