Dignity shows first-quarter lift

Dignity, the UK's leading independent funerals group, lifted operating profits 6.6 per cent in the first quarter to £17.7m on the back of an 8.6 per cent increase in revenues to £46.9m.

Peter Hindley, chief executive, said the group was continuing to trade well and was trading in line with expectations for the full year.
